What To Expect During A Hydrafacial Treatment

Receive A Skin Evaluation To Construct A Targeted Plan

You will first meet with an esthetician to have a complete evaluation of your skin to determine what course of action would work best at improving your specific skin troubles. Someone with oily skin would use different serums to treat the affected areas than someone concerned with wrinkles. The skin will then be tested for sensitivity issues to make sure you do not suffer from an allergic reactions as a result of the application of serums during the hydrafacial process.  

Exfoliate And Cleanse The Skin At The Same Time 

When you are cleared to have the hydrafacial process done, your esthetician will schedule a treatment session. You will first be asked to place your face over a steamer to help open the pores. Afterward you will be asked to move to a bed for the treatment process.  You will be able to rest comfortably while the practitioner uses a hand-held device to remove dead skin cells and while simultaneously cleaning out the pores of debris. This will feel invigorating and does not hurt at all.

Use Serums To Remove Impurities And Add Nutrients

After the skin is clean and exfoliated, your esthetician will then switch the nozzle on the hand-held device to one that applies a glycolic peel serum to the skin. A suction device is then used to gently pull on the skin, much like a vacuum would. The serum will feel tingly, but not painful. This serum will not require long-term recovery as you would expect with a standard peel procedure.

After the suction portion of the peel treatment is completed, the practitioner would then switch the nozzle on the device and add beneficial serums to your face. Antioxidants, peptides, and moisturizing agents are pushed through the device at a high impact so they reach the interiors of the pores. You will notice instant results in the improvement of the elasticity and tone of your skin after the treatment is completed.
