Spa-Inspired Special Event Ideas

Bob Adams

If you're looking for a way to both celebrate and pamper a special female in your life — such as your mom, a best friend, or your daughter — consider throwing her a spa-inspired soiree. Whether you hold it at home or in an actual salon, offer plenty of fun spa-worthy services such as soothing facials

You can incorporate a spa theme into a wide range of events or special occasions, including birthday parties, bridal or baby showers, graduation celebrations, and holiday gatherings. When choosing the perfect spa or venue for the event, make sure you have enough room to comfortably accommodate everyone on your guest list as they partake in pampering treatments.

From the activities and decor to the food and beverage service, keep the rejuvenating feel of the event in mind. If you're expecting both kids and adults, plan plenty of activities and treatments to keep both age groups engaged and satisfied.

Here are some more spa-inspired special event ideas to consider:

1. Menu of Services

Place a framed "menu of services" at the entranceway so that guests can see what is being offered. The menu will also give the event an authentic spa feel right from the beginning, and help get party-goers excited for the treatments.

If it's a large party with a big treatment menu, you can hand out service flyers as well, so that guests can pick and choose what they want to do most as they navigate the venue.

2. Spa Treatments

There are several different spa-inspired treatments that you can offer your friends and family members in an event setting. Set up separate stations complete with clean washcloths, bowls of water and other pampering essentials throughout the venue.

Create a "facial bar" complete with bowls of honey, oatmeal, witch hazel, toners, exfoliators, mashed avocado, yogurt, lemons and selection of relaxing essential oils, such as lavender and peppermint. Provide plenty of empty bowls so that party-goers can mix up their own customized facials according to their skin types. You can even provide print-outs explaining the benefits of each ingredient offered.

Other spa and salon treatment ideas include a manicure and pedicure station, a massage station and an eyebrow waxing station. If your budget allows, you can hire professionals to administer the services to guests.

3. Food and Beverages

When it comes to spa-themed party food, think fresh and healthy. Offer trays of tea sandwiches, such as tuna salad, cucumber and cream cheese, and egg salad. Seasonal fruit salads, roasted vegetables, and yogurt with granola parfaits are other options.

Provide water flavored with fruit slices, such as oranges, lemons and limes, as well as a selection of both hot and iced herbal and greens teas.

About Me
A New Hairstyle for Summer

For me, summer is a busy season. During this beautiful, warm time of the year, I like to go to the beach, play with my dog outside, go swimming, and engage in other fun outdoor activities. Because I spend more time outside during the summer months, having a low maintenance hairstyle is crucial. I prefer to keep my hair shoulder-length at this time. In doing so, I can put my hair up in a ponytail. However, because my hair isn’t extremely long, it won’t get weighed down by stifling humidity. If you like to spend your days in the great outdoors when the weather is warm outside, consider visiting a salon near you in order to get a fun, new hairstyle. On this blog, I hope you will discover the best haircuts for outdoor enthusiasts, no matter the season.
